I am looking for a local support group for grieving parents. I am having a really hard time coping with the loss of my oldest daughter. I live in Miami Beach, FL and I just need to connect with other parents who are going through this awful reality.

I lost my oldest daughter to cancer nearly 8 years ago and it still feels like it is new to me. I was given this web-site to see about connecting with people who experienced a lost and need help coping.

Hi I lost my daughter 1 year ago the first year was just a blur to me but I pray am not a religious person but I find peece when I pray

I am so very sorry for your great loss, I share your horrific pain, I lost my only son 9 years ago, he just turned 16 & believe me when I say, I couldn't make it without God! It's definitely a pain that no one on this earth could ever heal, I realize a lot will want to try & fix or make better, and then there is many really don't know what to say, but the truth is sometimes all we really need is someone to listen or maybe hold you while you cry, I have found God is really good at that because he truly understands the extent of what you need, especially when others may have never expirence such a loss! Not would I want anyone to ever know, EVER.. you will get through, it takes time, take all the time you need, I found that everyone grieves differently and that is ok, The bible tells us there is a time for everything under the sun, even mourning! One thing I know to be true is he also said, he would never leave you, nor forsake you & he doesn't lie, Hold on to him with all you have in you, get to know him personally, expirence his love, which is unconditional, never ending, let him hold you while you cry, even when you feel mad and want to scream, trust me he understands! I pray that you find comfort & perfect peace in this time of grieving, I pray for the strength that God can give you, the courage to face another day, YOU CAN DO THIS I KNOW BECAUSE I AM, and God is no RESPECTOR of persons, he loves you!
